Arithmerrations
A downloadable game for Windows
In Arithmerrations, waves of numbered zombies are coming for you. How many waves can you survive?
Digit zombies are straightforward - shoot them with a value, and that will be subtracted from their health. Any leftovers will be given back to you, alongside their normal drops (shoot a Digit Zombie with 1 health with a 10, and you'll get back a 9)
Multiplication Zombies are a little more complex. They need to be shot with the same number as their health to kill them. Too large or too small, and it's bouncing off!
Expanding Zombies aren't too hard, but they can be a real pain for those who want to spray-and-pray. Hit them with less than their health value, and they spawn a new Digit Zombie with half of their health. Shoot them with an equal or larger value to finish the job. Do be careful - these beasts don't care how much larger the number is, and they'll eat it all, no leftovers!
This will all be well and good for the first few waves, until you start seeing zombies with health values above 10. You'll need to whip out the Multiplication Gun and start doing fast math to figure out what value to shoot. Mess up your math, and you won't be shredding any ghouls.
Please note, this game was build for a standard 1080p display at 16:9. It may work well on higher resolutions of 16:9, but will not display right if your aspect ratio is different. If the game is not launching on the right monitor, press Alt+Enter and drag it to the correct monitor, and press Alt+Enter again!
All files and assets were made by me (even a custom solution for displaying the numbers), and you can find the project on my GitHub if you want to look at all the wonderfully hacky code I wrote to get it working in time.
All sounds were made with https://sfxr.me/, as I've always loved the beeps and boops of older games.

Install instructions
Just download this .zip file and extract it, and the Unity EXE is inside. I did have an issue where Windows Defender was flagging the file as a trojan when testing on my second laptop, but this is a Windows Defender and Unity issue, and not something I can resolve in my project. I simply told Defender to ignore the file, and was able to play without issue.
